Job summary
Van Meter Inc. is offering an Industrial Sales Intern role designed to provide hands-on experience in industrial automation, technical sales, and customer engagement.
You will support the Industrial Sales Department while working with Automation Specialists, Inside Sales, and the Sales Support Team to develop customer solutions and gain cross-functional exposure. Interns will visit multiple branches, learn from a mentor, and participate in community initiatives while building technical expertise
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a technical degree in Engineering, Automation, Robotics, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
- Sophomore or junior standing in college.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities
- Support products and initiatives in the Industrial Sales Department.
- Shadow Automation, Inside Sales, and Sales Support teams to learn roles and processes.
- Assist Account Managers on customer site visits to develop customer engagement.
- Develop technical knowledge in a focus area and participate in labs, demos, and trade shows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support customer solutions and business initiatives.
