Job summary

Minnesota Soybean Processors (MnSP) seeks an Information Technology PLC/HMI / IT Programmer in Brewster, MN. The role blends software development, IT infrastructure support, and industrial automation to keep plant systems running safely and efficiently.

You will develop C# apps, support SQL Server, and program Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs, collaborating with engineering and production to reduce downtime and improve productivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in IT, CS, EE, or related field.
• Experience programming PLCs and supporting automation systems in manufacturing.
• Strong C# programming skills and PLC languages: Ladder Logic, Structured Text.
• Knowledge of Allen-Bradley hardware; Siemens knowledge beneficial.
• Experience with SQL Server, Power BI, Oracle PI, and web technologies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain servers and IT networks; develop interfaces between business and process apps.
• Develop, implement, and maintain PLC programs for equipment and processes.
• Program and maintain Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI systems.
• Troubleshoot and debug PLC programs and automation systems.
• Perform regular maintenance and upgrades to PLC hardware/software.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to optimize automation.
