Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH company, is seeking a maintenance mechanic to support an industrial steel fabrication and manufacturing environment. You will ensure equipment safety and reliability by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordinating with vendors.

The role requires reading drawings, working with automation systems and PLCs, and implementing safety protocols. Excellent problem-solving skills and physical stamina are essential.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in industrial maintenance or related field.
• 5+ years of related field experience preferred.
• Experience with welding and metal fabrication equipment is strongly preferred.
• Ability to read electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and PLC drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Proficient with OEM parts research and basic computer tools.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety protocols including lockout/tagout and arc flash safety.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machinery to ensure reliability.
• Troubleshoot automation, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
• Repair or replace defective parts and calibrate systems.
• Install/configure PLCs, sensors, and actuators.
• Document maintenance activities and coordinate with shop leadership.
• Participate in continuous improvement to enhance equipment reliability.
