Job summary

Accelera is seeking an Industrial Automation Maintenance Specialist to diagnose and repair complex electrical and controls systems in our production environment. You will leverage PLC logic to minimize downtime and keep equipment operating at peak efficiency.

The role requires 8+ years in industrial maintenance, proficiency with Allen-Bradley PLC platforms (PLC-5, ControlLogix/5000), and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Proficient in troubleshooting Allen-Bradley PLC platforms (PLC-5, ControlLogix/5000).
• Able to read electrical schematics and machine documentation.
• Experience diagnosing issues in environments with limited documentation.
• Hands-on with VFDs, sensors, and control instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and control system failures to restore production throughput.
• Interface with PLCs using programming software, interpret ladder logic, and isolate root causes of stoppages.
• Perform detailed diagnostics on field devices including VFDs, sensors, and I/O modules.
• Analyze electrical schematics to facilitate rapid repairs on legacy and modern equipment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate repair status and prioritize maintenance tasks.
• Execute proactive maintenance and system upgrades to enhance long-term reliability.
• Distinguish between electrical control faults and mechanical failures to apply correct maintenance approach.
