Placements24 is assisting a renewable energy client in Upington, Northern Cape to hire an Industrial Engineer with expertise in Systems and Automation. The role focuses on the design, implementation, and optimization of automated systems within the manufacturing and operations environment.

You will lead projects to improve efficiency, safety, and quality by integrating robotics, PLCs, and SCADA. A Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field and a minimum of four years in automation are

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in automation, systems integration, or manufacturing process improvement.
• Proven experience in designing, implementing, or maintaining automated systems.
• Familiarity with control systems, PLCs, robotics, and industrial networking.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing system issues.
• Proficiency in data analysis and process simulation tools.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively on a plant floor and in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of safety standards for automated systems.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain automated systems and control processes.
• Analyze workflows and identify opportunities for automation to improve efficiency and quality.
• Evaluate and select automation technologies including robotics, PLCs, and SCADA.
• Develop and execute test plans for automated systems to ensure functionality.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to integrate solutions into production lines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with automated systems and equipment.
• Develop and update technical documentation and maintenance procedures.
