Job summary

CLX Engineering is seeking an Industrial Automation Software Engineer to work on real-world automation systems. You will engage with Ignition SCADA, Python or Jython, SQL databases, servers, and PLC-controlled equipment to configure and test comprehensive solutions.

You will test systems, troubleshoot across multiple technologies, and occasionally go on-site to install, commission, or support what the team has built for customers. This role blends software with field problem solving.

Qualifications

Experience with Ignition SCADA and industrial automation software is preferred.
Proficiency in Python or Jython and SQL to solve system problems.
Familiarity with how software communicates with databases, servers, networks, and equipment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for daily reports.

Responsibilities

Develop and configure industrial software using Ignition SCADA and PLC interfaces.
Test systems, troubleshoot issues, and support field installations and commissioning.
Work directly with customers and provide on-site support when required.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated automation solutions.
