Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certificate preferred.
• Valid journeyman card with 5+ years experience or equivalent certification.
• 3+ years in industrial electrical work focused on CNC/robotics and PLC controls.
• Strong knowledge of motor controls, three-phase power, and diagnostics.
• Hands-on PLC programming/troubleshooting with ladder logic.
• CNC controls knowledge (Fanuc/Siemens/Okuma) and safety standards.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret schematics for repairs and upgrades.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and control issues on CNC machines, robots, and automated systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on servo motors, VFDs, sensors, and safety devices.
• Read, modify, and create electrical schematics and control panel layouts.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and robot teach pendant operations; assist with fault analysis.
• Install and test control panels, field devices, and cabling for new equipment.
• Support integration of robotics with CNC systems and safety-rated controls.
• Collaborate with multi-craft teams during installs, startups, and downtime analysis.
• Conduct lockout/tagout and arc flash safety procedures; maintain safety records.
• Document repairs and changes in CMMS; generate recurring issue reports.
