Job summary

Pinnacle Polymers seeks an Automation & Electrical Systems Specialist to support reliability, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the plant’s instrumentation, electrical systems, and process control infrastructure. You will troubleshoot DCS/PLC/SIS, analyzer systems, and OT environments, collaborating with controls and analyzer specialists to keep operations safe and efficient.

Qualifications

5+ years in automation, instrumentation, or electrical maintenance in manufacturing.
Bachelor’s or Associate degree in a related technical field preferred.
Strong understanding of DCS, PLC, automation systems, and networks.
Hands-on troubleshooting for instrumentation and electrical systems.
Ability to read electrical schematics, loop diagrams, P&IDs.
Experience supporting capital projects and startups is a plus.

Responsibilities

Support maintenance and improvements of DCS, PLC, SIS, and automation systems.
Diagnose process control issues affecting safety, production, and reliability.
Implement control strategy changes, software upgrades, and enhancements.
Participate in startups, commissioning, and testing of capital projects.
Develop and maintain control system docs, graphics, alarms, and narratives.
Provide technical support to operations and maintenance personnel.
Back up the Controls Systems Specialist and Analyzer Specialist during absences.
