Job summary

M-Team Solutions in Wixom, Michigan is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team and contribute to the development of industrial automation, material handling, and manufacturing equipment.

The role involves creating 3D models, performing design calculations, and collaborating across disciplines to deliver integrated equipment solutions. SolidWorks experience is preferred; Autodesk Inventor is also acceptable. Direct-hire, on-site role with full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related discipline.
• 3+ years of mechanical design experience with industrial machinery, automation equipment, conveyors, or similar systems.
• 3+ years of experience with 3D CAD software.
• SolidWorks experience preferred; Autodesk Inventor or other comparable 3D CAD systems considered.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, fabrication drawings, layouts, and BOMs.
• Perform engineering calculations and analysis to validate designs and ensure they meet project requirements.
• Collaborate with electrical, controls, software, manufacturing, and other engineering disciplines to develop integrated equipment solutions.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot design, manufacturing, assembly, and field installation issues and develop practical engineering solutions.
• Prepare and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, manuals, BOMs, and other project documentation.
• Support equipment testing, validation, installation, and startup activities as needed.
