Job summary

Neuron Industries (YC S26) seeks a hands-on Electrical and Controls Engineer to design electrical and control systems for industrial deployments, including schematics, panels, I/O, reference designs, and testing cells; you will also write controls application code for pilots and demos and commission systems at customer sites.

You will establish electrical and panel-building standards, use AI tools to improve engineering work, document technical details clearly, and troubleshoot in the field.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical fundamentals and hands-on experience designing and building a real control system.
• Familiarity in industrial fieldbuses, drives, sensors, and safety circuits.
• Practical troubleshooting, clear technical documentation, a bias toward shipping.
• Daily use of AI in engineering; UL 508A, NFPA 79, NEC, machine safety, motion control, and plant or integrator experience are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical and controls systems for industrial deployments, including schematics, panels, I/O, reference designs, and internal test cells; write controls application code for pilots and demos.
• Commission systems at customer sites, establish electrical and panel-building standards, and use AI tools to improve engineering work.
