Job summary

Insight Global seeks a Sr. Controls Engineer to lead the controls team and oversee control systems and qualification documentation for AI and Manufacturing 4.0 initiatives.

You will direct automation design, installation and launch of new machine controls, drives, and schematics, while updating existing systems and developing robotic, electrical, pneumatic and vision solutions. The role requires 3+ years as a controls engineer, expertise with Allen-Bradley PLCs and Fanuc robots, and leadership

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a controls engineer
• Programming Allen-Bradley PLCs and integrating with Fanuc robots
• Leadership or management experience

Responsibilities

• Lead the controls team for automation design, installation and launch
• Update, modify and improve control systems and robotics programs
• Coordinate with engineering and maintenance on machine control changes
• Develop and maintain schematics, wiring diagrams and data bases
• Back up and maintain machine controls and robot programs regularly
• Support data collection and Ethernet networking of plant controls
