Job summary

The Injury Prevention Specialist at St. Luke's University Health Network provides athletic training, prevention and wellness services to clients, employees and other patients under the direction of the Medical Director or Occupational Medicine physician, or by physician referral, in accordance with state athletic training practice act.

Primary duties include injury prevention techniques, job hazard analysis, ergonomic assessments and first aid on job sites or via Video Visits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited athletic training program is required.
• Master’s Degree is preferred where applicable.
• Active Pennsylvania Athletic Training License required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain appropriate general treatment orders and operating procedures to be reviewed annually.
• Provide injury prevention services for client companies; act as liaison with management, union leaders, executives and employees.
• Provide ergonomic services including job hazard analysis and training.
• Maintain accurate records of all employee encounters and report to stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively between program stakeholders and clinic personnel.
• Ensure services are timely, accurate, and cost-efficient while complying with policies.

Education

Graduate of an accredited, professional athletic training education program

Master’s Degree preferred
