Job summary

St. Luke's Health System seeks a dedicated Athletic Trainer to manage care for athletes in clinic settings, focusing on prevention, clinical evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation and reconditioning.

You will provide direct patient care, document medical histories, determine therapeutic plans, and educate patients on care plans and expected outcomes. The role also supports student on-site mentoring and collaboration with the health team.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor Degree and completion of an accredited Athletic Trainer Residency Program
• Experience: 0 years experience
• Licenses/Certifications: Licensed as a Certified Athletic Trainer in the state of practice. BOC certified. Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in clinical evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation and reconditioning of athletes.
• Provide direct patient care through clinical evaluation and treatment.
• Obtain medical history and document care plans and progress.
• Order entry for diagnostic studies and medications under physician direction.
• Perform wound care, dressing changes, suture removal, injections prep and casting.
• Educate patients on plan of care and expected outcomes.
• Mentor on-site students and other healthcare professionals.
