Job summary

OTC Industrial Technologies is hiring an Applications Engineer to bridge engineering design and customer requirements. You will analyze specifications, configure equipment, generate quotes, and process orders while collaborating with sales, service, and engineering teams.

The role includes on-site visits when needed and ongoing technical support during pre-sale and post-sale stages. A bachelor’s degree and strong communication, problem-solving, and CAD-reading skills are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial equipment sales and procurement.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and/or engineering design drawings.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, thermodynamics, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail oriented and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
• Experience in a customer-facing technical role.

Responsibilities

• Receive customer inquiries about new equipment or service of existing equipment.
• Analyze customer specifications and propose suitable product configurations and modifications.
• Collaborate with sales and service teams to understand customer needs and develop tailored equipment or service solutions.
• Generate quotes via CRM or ERP and manage electronic quote and order files.
• Enter and process customer purchase orders, acting as a liaison between the manufacturer / supplier and the customer.
• Review and interpret technical documentation, including CAD drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and application data.
• Provide technical support to customers during pre-sale and post-sale stages, including on-site visits if required.
• Communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
• Stay up to date on industry trends, standards, and emerging technologies.
• Other duties as assigned.
