Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience as Applications Engineer, Proposal Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer or Project Engineer.
• Experience in industrial machinery, machine tools, automation or custom equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specs, and RFQs.
• Experience developing technical proposals, quotations, estimates, or project scopes.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, automation, and systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfortable communicating with customers on technical requirements.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, sales, manufacturing, purchasing, and project management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to manage multiple proposals.

Responsibilities

• Review customer RFQs, specifications, drawings, and manufacturing requirements.
• Evaluate applications and determine appropriate equipment and processes.
• Develop technical concepts and preliminary equipment solutions.
• Prepare detailed proposals, quotations, cost estimates, and docs.
• Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing on scope and costs.
• Assist with equipment selection for highly engineered apps.
• Communicate with customers to clarify specs and timelines.
• Collaborate with sales to address customer needs.
• Review drawings, layouts, and cycle-time requirements.
• Identify risks during proposal stage and mitigate.
• Support proposal presentations and technical discussions.
• Coordinate with internal teams as projects move to execution.
• Maintain accurate proposal documentation and customer requirements.
• Provide technical support throughout sales and project development.
