Job summary

The Rapid Group is seeking a driven Application Engineer / Inside Sales Engineer to support product sales, develop technical solutions, and provide exceptional customer service. You will manage quotations, orders, and purchasing while collaborating with the Inside Sales Manager to craft bids and proposals.

Required are a Bachelor's in engineering or business and 5+ years in a similar role, with English fluency and a valid driver's license. Onsite in Paterson, NJ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or business required.
• 5+ years of inside sales engineer or similar role experience.
• P&L experience preferred and proven performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Specify products and generate quotations and bids from specs.
• Enter orders from customer PO, verify conformance and pricing.
• Create vendor POs and verify product conformance and pricing.
• Follow up on quotes and capture customer feedback.
• Monitor open orders and update stakeholders.
• Build and maintain client relationships with a customer-first mindset.
• Maintain knowledge of product offerings to propose solutions.
• Support sales engineers in lead generation and deals.
• Adhere to pricing policy to ensure target margins.
• Act as brand ambassador and participate in training.
• Identify business opportunities from customer interactions.
