Job summary

Flowserve Corporation in Pasadena is seeking an Applications Engineer to bridge technical and commercial aspects of industrial equipment repairs and infrastructure projects. You will review client requirements, develop accurate quotes, and coordinate with shop operations and sales for a seamless transition from quote to final assembly.

You may work across a spectrum from reviewing P&IDs and schematics to engaging with clients on commercial discussions, with a strong emphasis on internal

Qualifications

• Practice with heavy industrial equipment scheduling, planning or repairs is highly valued.
• Engineering background is a plus, but a formal Mechanical Engineering degree is not required; equivalent hands-on experience is accepted.
• Ability to review P&IDs and technical schematics and support client-facing discussions.
• Strong ability to communicate technical details to shop floor technicians and corporate clients.

Responsibilities

• Quotation Generation: review requests and develop comprehensive, accurate quotes for pumps and flow-control components.
• Technical Interpretation: review documentation and system layouts to ensure solutions meet operational demands.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: work with shop operations, QRC planners, and field sales for smooth handoff from quote to assembly.
• Client Engagement: act as a technical point of contact for clients and refine scopes as projects evolve.
