Actalent in Austin, TX seeks an Industrial Engineering Analytics Engineer to lead the development of advanced analytical models for manufacturing efficiency, capacity planning, and cost optimization in large-scale production environments. This role blends industrial engineering fundamentals with analytics, simulation, and AI-driven systems to support tactical and strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in industrial engineering analytics, manufacturing modeling, or operations analysis.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing systems and capacity planning.
• Proven ability to build end-to-end industrial engineering models integrating capacity, labor, cost, and material flow.
• Experience with factory simulation tools such as FlexSim or AnyLogic.
• Strong business-case skills including ROI, IRR, and NPV.
• Advanced data analysis skills using Excel, Python, SQL, and BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own integrated industrial engineering models connecting capacity, labor, material flow, and cost of goods sold to support factory planning and operations.
• Build and maintain capacity models comparing target, forecast, and gated capacity including OEE, yield losses, and bottleneck analysis.
• Develop labor models to optimize headcount, utilization, and labor cost across production systems.
• Create and evaluate business cases for capital investments (ROI, IRR, NPV).
• Lead COGS modeling including labor, overhead, scrap, and process costs.
• Develop and track scrap and yield models and identify improvement opportunities.
• Design and maintain OEE models for availability, performance, and quality.
• Support factory layout, site planning, and material flow decisions with data-driven insights.
• Perform scenario analyses and sensitivity studies for capacity and production strategies.
• Utilize factory simulation models to analyze throughput and bottlenecks.
