Job summary

Hamilton Tanks, LLC is seeking a skilled blaster to abrade steel tanks, removing scale, paint, grease, tar, rust, and dirt while imparting a specified finish with abrasive media.

The successful candidate will inspect finished material for quality conformance and report to the shop supervisor. Applicants should have a high school diploma and be able to meet safety and physical requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as an abrasive blaster or in a related field preferred.
• Knowledge of blasting concepts, procedures, and safety practices.
• Ability to pass background check, drug test, fit-for-duty, and respirator tests.

Responsibilities

• Cleans grease and dirt from products.
• Operates and maintains blast equipment; regulates pressures for safe, efficient blasting.
• Removes rust using blasting agents and tools such as scrapers and brushes.
• Inspects finished material to ensure conformance to quality specifications.
• Standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
