Job summary

Team Industries, Inc. is seeking a skilled abrasive blasting technician to prepare surfaces on fabricated metal piping, tanks, and structures for coating. You will perform pressure blasting, masking, and basic maintenance in a safety-focused environment.

The role involves reading safety rules, following procedures, and working on first shift in Kaukauna, WI. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and be able to operate PPE and basic tools, with potential forklift/tug/crane training.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to write routine paperwork and follow procedures.
• Ability to solve problems with several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

• Abrasive blasting of pipe, structural steel, and machined parts.
• Masking/taping and capping of pipe spools.
• Light maintenance of blast equipment.
• Fill out necessary paperwork for each piece, making sure it stays with the material as it goes from blast to paint.
• Upkeep of helmet, cape, and belts as they are used.
• Keep finished material organized in the prep area.
• Ability to be trained on a forklift, tug, overhead crane, and tractor.
• Cleaning and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE’s).
• Performing other job-related duties as assigned.
• Conducts work safely and follows all safety procedures.
