Job summary

Axis Pipe and Tube in Bryan, TX is seeking an Automation Engineer Jr INDUCTION / NDT to support production lines and improve induction and NDT equipment. You will provide technical support on installed equipment, automation projects and troubleshooting, while collaborating with maintenance to minimize downtime and improve manufacturing performance.

The role requires experience with PLCs, VFDs, and industrial control systems, and involves commissioning, documentation, and training of staff across

Qualifications

Electronic Engineering degree preferred.
Trade School or Industrial Apprenticeship in Electric or Electronic Trades.
At least five years’ experience as a journeyman electrician or electronic technician.
Exposure to adverse weather, extreme temperatures, chemicals, noise, and dust.
Must be able to operate an industrial system computer.

Responsibilities

Responsible for Induction and NDT equipment at the facility.
Provide technical skill support on new equipment, automation projects, and troubleshooting.
Support maintenance and technical departments to minimize downtime.
Troubleshoot equipment/automation issues to improve yield, cycle time and reliability.
Analyze and document daily operations and modifications; prepare written records.
Train Automation Technician in routine troubleshooting and project execution.
