U.S. Tsubaki Power Transmission, LLC in Sandusky, OH, is seeking a heat treat operator to set up and operate induction hardening equipment and related processes. You will read drawings, monitor temperatures, ensure part conformance, and perform routine maintenance on furnaces.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Able to perform moderately active work typical of a manufacturing plant environment (pushing, pulling, lifting, standing, bending, twisting).
• Safety Sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates induction hardening equipment to properly harden and temper products.
• Applies knowledge of heat treating processes, temperatures, atmospheres, quenching, soaking times, carburizing cycles and maintenance.
• Ensure part conformance to quality drawings; use micrometers, calipers and hardness testing to verify proper hardness and depth.
• Loads/unloads furnaces carefully to avoid improper quenching and cooling.
• Performs running maintenance and posts output results to records.
