Job summary

NTA Precision Axle is hiring a Heat Treat Operator to operate CNC lathe and milling machines on an 8–12 hour shift. You will load, inspect, offset, and tool parts in a fast-paced shop, with a focus on ISO 16949/14001 compliance and 5S cleanliness.

The role offers starting pay at $19 per hour plus second/third shift differentials, plus a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with ability to add and subtract decimals accurately.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment with automated or robotic equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret part drawings and determine offsets.
• Experience machining and using measuring tools such as drop indicators, dial bore gauges, plug gauges.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathe and/or milling machine to load/unload production lines.
• Verify quality using pre-set gauges to check specs.
• Visually inspect parts and determine offset changes.
• Change/adjust production tooling and record results on forms.
• Perform daily preventative maintenance and keep work areas clean.
• Follow ISO 16949 & 14001 and safety rules; practice 5S.
