Qualifications

• Minimum foundry or heavy-manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must understand detailed operating instructions, formulas, and safety procedures.
• Ability to read gauges, measure materials, and perform basic calculations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a demanding production environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor electric induction furnaces and related equipment.
• Prepare, charge, melt, treat, and transfer molten metal per procedures.
• Monitor temperatures, power levels, and furnace controls throughout melting.
• Take metal samples and temperatures to verify specs are met.
• Maintain accurate production records and follow lockout/tagout procedures.
• Support furnace relining and scheduled maintenance activities.
