Job summary

Monroechamber is seeking an Induction Furnace Operator Helper in Hartland, WI, for a temporary assignment. Wage is $21.50/hour with a 1st shift from 5:00am to 1:00pm, Monday–Friday.

You will assist with molten metal melting operations, learn furnace setup, and support safe production in a fast-paced environment. This role offers hands-on experience in molten metal processing and may lead to future positions such as Machine Operator or Mechanical Assembler once the assignment is completed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to follow detailed written procedures and verbal instructions.
• Strong attendance record and dependable work ethic.
• Able to work in a manufacturing environment with heat, cold, dust.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Stand for 8+ hours per shift.
• Willingness to wear PPE and safety footwear.
• Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Furnace Operator with daily furnace room activities during molten metal melting operations.
• Support the safe operation of the induction melting furnace by following established operating procedures.
• Provide hands-on assistance with furnace setup, monitoring, and production tasks.
• Follow verbal instructions and written procedures accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
• Properly wear and maintain required PPE.
• Help keep the furnace area clean, organized, and production-ready.

Induction Furnace Operator Helper Responsibilities

Induction Furnace Operator Helper Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to extreme heat, cold temperatures, dust, and dirt
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for 8+ hours per shift
• Willingness to wear company-provided fire-retardant clothing, gloves, and helmet with face shield
• Must provide and wear approved safety-toe footwear
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
