DeKalb Park District is seeking a Soccer Program Coordinator for the indoor youth and adult soccer program at the SRC in DeKalb, IL. This part-time, non-exempt position requires hands-on operations and strong organizational skills.
The coordinator will recruit teams, develop schedules, register players, and liaise with coaches, referees, and facility staff to ensure safe and enjoyable league play. Evening and weekend availability is essential.

Responsible for organizing and managing the operations of the indoor youth and adult soccer program at the DeKalb Park District’s Sports and Recreation Center (SRC).

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to speak, listen, stand, walk, jog/run, use hands, sit, stoop, kneel, and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision requirements include distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The individual may need to stand for prolonged periods of time and may be required to walk, run, jog, or perform other physical maneuvers to referee a soccer game. The individual is required to move soccer goals and benches throughout the facility.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee works near people playing a variety of sports, instructors conducting youth/adult activities or specialized program classes. The employee will be required to work indoors at the Sports and Recreation Center and/or outside at a park district athletic field. When working outside the employee may be exposed to various weather conditions, including wet, cold, hot, and humid conditions. The employee may also work in an office environment near computers, fax machines, telephones, copiers, and other office machinery.
