Omni Hotels & Resorts is looking for an Indoor Plant Technician to maintain and care for indoor plant locations. This role involves watering, pruning, and ensuring healthy plant environments throughout the resort.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to read English instructions and lift equipment as needed. This is an entry-level position that contributes significantly to the guests' experience and resort operations.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required.
• Ability to read work orders, instructions, and directions for proper use of chemicals.
• Prolonged walking, standing, and frequent bending and reaching required.

Job description

Overview

The Indoor Plant Technician associate performs work in the maintenance, care and modification of indoor locations.

Responsibilities

• Watering, pruning, fertilizing and pest management of indoor locations.
• Regular monitoring of plant health, identifying and addressing any signs of distress.
• Perform season changes in plants and decor.
• Prepare indoor locations for use by guests as needed by resort operations.
• Safely operate light vehicles such as utility vehicles and pick‑up trucks, obeying applicable traffic laws and following operator instructions.
• Wear appropriate safety items such as goggles, gloves, or other protective clothing.
• Ensure equipment is operational and clean tools, equipment, and machines within reasonable capabilities.
• Contribute to the overall success of the resort by performing all other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience: None required.
• Skills: Ability to read English to understand written work orders, instructions, and directions for proper mixture, use, and disposal/storage of cleaners, solvents, chemicals, fertilizers, and similar products.
• Effort: Ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis, prolonged walking or standing, and frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching on a daily basis.
