Job summary

Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) is seeking an Inspector to minimize exposure to asbestos, lead, and CFCs by evaluating hazards and enforcing regulations across Colorado. You will supervise field staff, provide technical direction, and contribute to regulatory enforcement.

The role requires travel across the state, strong inspection skills, and collaboration with a variety of public health and environmental programs. Hybrid work options may be available.

Qualifications

• Inspections and Enforcement duties as part of regulatory compliance.
• Site inspection scope includes schools, waste disposal sites, and renovation/demolition projects.

Responsibilities

• Monitor compliance with State and Federal regulations through inspections and investigations.
• Travel statewide by car to inspect sites as needed.
• Provide technical guidance and supervise EPS Interns and staff on projects.
