Job summary

Sunshine State LLC is seeking an energetic Cyclebar Instructor in Sanford, NC. You will educate, motivate, and entertain riders while delivering high-energy rides that help attendees hit personal performance goals.

Expect 2–4 classes weekly and a strong emphasis on community connection.

Qualifications

• Must have passion for health, wellness and fitness.
• Must have passed Cyclebar audition/bootcamp.
• Must be friendly, outgoing and personable.
• Must have strong communication skills.
• Must teach Cyclebar branded ride formats.
• Must teach at least 2x per week and have availability to sub as needed.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Arrive 30 minutes before class to set yourself up for success.
• Get into the right mindset before class.
• Get your room ready and connect with riders.
• Set up first-time riders (CBX assist when needed).
• Inspect studio to ensure cleanliness and equipment readiness.
• Remain 30 minutes after class to debrief with riders and staff.
• Teach according to Cyclebar format as listed on the studio schedule.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Equal parts educator, DJ, drill sergeant, motivator and friend. Instructors' rides help our riders improve performance, reach goals and change lives- one ride at a time. We want you to bring incomparable energy, training, enthusiasm and charisma to each and every ride. We also want you to bring your true, authentic, and inspiring self to our community of riders. Most of our instructors teach 2-4 classes per week! We currently do not have any full time instructor positions available.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• -Must have passion for health, wellness and fitness
• -Must have passed Cyclebar audition/bootcamp
• -Must be friendly, outgoing and personable
• -Must have strong communication skills
• -Must teach Cyclebar branded ride formats
• -Must teach at least 2x per week and have additional availability to sub classes as needed
• -Cannot sub out more than 50% of rides for more than 3 consecutive weeks unless there are extenuating circumstances (e.g. injury, pregnancy, extended/approved leave of absence)
• -Must be at least 18 years old

Class Expectations:

• -Arrive 30 minutes before class to set yourself up for success
• -Get into the right mindset before class
• -Get your room ready
• -Connect with your riders before class (new and loyal)
• -Setup first time riders (CBX assist when more than 3 new riders or when new riders arrive late)
• -Inspect the Cycle Theater prior to your class to be sure the shoes are removed from bikes, no puddles or spills are on the floors, all fans and lights are on and that the sound system and cyclestats are operational
• -Remain 30 minutes after class is over/until all riders have left:
• -Touch base with new riders/hand off to CBX/GM
• -Engage with riders in community room
• -Help clean up/reset as needed
• - Teach according to the Cyclebar format that is listed on the studio schedule in the CB app: -You must follow the appropriate brand formats and guidelines for all classes -Always teach the format listed on the public schedule, even if it's an error
• -Make pre-class announcements

COMPENSATION

In exchange for your services, Sunshine State LLC offers the following compensation scale to be paid on a bi-weely basis:

• Instructors with <1 year of CB teaching experience: $45/class flat rate +$2.50 per rider for every rider over the first 25 in attendance.
• Instructors with >1 year of CB teaching experience: $50/class flat rate +2.50 per rider for every rider over the first 25 in attendance.
