Job summary

South Suburban Parks and Recreation seeks an energetic indoor cycling instructor for evening and weekend classes at Lone Tree Recreation Center. The role involves designing, implementing, and leading engaging indoor cycling sessions for participants of varying fitness levels in a recreation setting.

The ideal candidate will hold a current Group Fitness or Indoor Cycling certification, have instructional experience, CPR/AED, and ideally First Aid certification, with knowledge of exercise science

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Graduation from high school or completion of GED.
• Current Group Fitness Certification or Indoor cycling certification from an accepted national certifying organization and must be maintained through Continuing Education Credits (CEC’s) as required.
• Possession of current certifications in CPR/AED required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and lead safe, enjoyable indoor cycling classes.
• Adjust classes for participants of varying fitness levels.
• Promote health and educate participants on fitness and wellness.

The opening at Lone Tree Recreation Center is for an eveningand weekend instructor.

Our Ideal Candidate

• Must possess a current Group Fitness Certification or IndoorCycling certification.
• Will have prior experience in instruction of specific specialty.
• First Aid certification is preferred.
• Has an understanding and knowledge of exercise science, nutritionand wellness to promote fitness and educate participants.
• Ability to communicate effectively to establish and maintainworking relationships with employees and the public.
• Will have knowledge of the principals and practices of fitness programming.
