Job summary

Gate Gourmet is seeking a Specialty Cook to interpret and produce specialty foods per menu specifications for airline service. You will work with Specialty Cuisine equipment and plating techniques, converting recipes for large-scale production and maintaining high standards in a fast-paced kitchen.

Requirements include a culinary degree or cook certification preferred, at least five years of experience in specialty cuisine, and strong knife skills.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree and/or cook certification is preferred.
• Five years of experience in cooking specialty cuisine.
• Experience in quantity and quality food preparation and kitchen maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all Specialty Cuisine dishes as per menu specifications and recipes.
• Uses Specialty Cuisine cooking equipment, techniques and plate presentation.
• Produces classical food items from specifications laid out by airline for Specialty Cuisine.
• Converts Specialty Cuisine recipes into large quantities for production.
• Must be skilled with knives and able to multi-task in a high-pressure environment.
