ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND

At Eva’s Village, we are committed to empowering individuals in need by providing hope, support, and resources to help them lead healthy, stable, and productive lives. Our work focuses on people struggling with hunger, homelessness, substance use disorders, and mental health challenges. We are looking for passionate, dedicated team members who share our mission to make a lasting, positive impact in the lives of others.

Position Summary

The Individual Giving Manager is responsible for building and leading a dynamic individual giving program that supports long-term organizational sustainability. This role oversees the full spectrum of moves management—from identification to stewardship—for individual donors across all giving levels. Key areas of focus include converting event donors to annual supporters, identifying and cultivating major and planned gift prospects, and increasing donor engagement and retention through strategic and personalized outreach.

The Individual Giving Manager will work closely with the Chief Advancement Officer (CAO), CEO, Board members, and other external stakeholders to achieve ambitious revenue goals, including a $1.5–$1.75M annual target from major and planned gifts.

Key Responsibilities:

Donor Portfolio Growth & Moves Management

  • Lead strategy and execution for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding individual donors across all levels of giving.
  • Develop and execute direct mail/e-blast campaigns, targeted individuals asks, and engagement opportunities.
  • Proactively build the individual donor pipeline by evaluating current low- to mid-level donors for upgrade potential.
  • Identify and qualify new prospects through donor research, wealth screening, Board and staff referrals, event attendance, and external networks.
  • Partner with the CAO on strategies for prospects with six- and seven-figure potential.
  • Maintain and grow a portfolio of individual donors and prospects using customized moves management plans.

Donor Engagement & Stewardship

  • Develop personalized engagement and solicitation strategies based on donor interests and giving history.
  • Coordinate and lead donor meetings, phone calls, and written correspondence to deepen relationships and secure contributions.
  • Collaborate with the Special Events Manager to identify and cultivate prospects through events, and convert event donors into long-term annual supporters.
  • Work with the communications team to create targeted stewardship and cultivation materials.

Major and Planned Giving

  • Manage and grow the major donor program, securing five- and six-figure gifts in support of organizational priorities.
  • In collaboration with the CAO, implement and expand a structured planned giving strategy.
  • Promote planned giving opportunities through personalized outreach and digital marketing in partnership with the Digital Media Specialist.
  • Serve as a resource to staff and Board on planned giving best practices and donor identification.

Collaboration & Reporting

  • Provide regular updates to the CAO on portfolio progress, donor pipeline development, and revenue forecasting.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with development, programs, and communications staff to ensure donor strategies align with organizational priorities.
  • Collaborate with Special Events Manager in engaging and stewarding donors through event-related opportunities; actively participate on Event Committees as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate records of all donor activity, touchpoints, and proposals in Raiser’s Edge.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in individual fundraising, including direct experience managing donor pipelines and securing major gifts.
  • Demonstrated success in moving individuals through a giving pipeline from events and annual donors through major gifts to grow individual giving revenue.
  • Knowledge of planned giving strategies and experience in building donor pipelines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop genuine donor relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in CRM systems, preferably Raiser’s Edge, and comfortable using data to inform decisions.
  • Ability to work flexible hours for evening and weekend events as needed.
  • Committed to high ethical standards and donor confidentiality.

Preferred Skills and Attributes:

  • Strategic thinker with a donor-centric approach to fundraising.
  • Collaborative and enthusiastic team player with a growth mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Experience with Canva, Photoshop or other design software a plus.

The actual compensation will be determined based on experience, education and qualifications.
