Job summary

Bechtel Manufacturing and Technology in Houston, TX is seeking an Indirects Estimator to develop construction indirect costs for large EPC estimates, maintain the project indirects workbook, and align with staffing plans.

This part-time telework role may require at least three days of in-person attendance weekly at the office or project, with schedules determined in coordination with the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2–5 years of relevant experience or 6–9 years of related work.
• Experience in construction estimating, cost engineering or field project controls on large EPC projects preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including complex formulas and large workbooks.
• Familiarity with Proscope, BETK, and Power BI or ability to learn quickly.
• Ability to present to senior management during reviews.

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains the project indirects workbook for construction indirect accounts.
• Develops indirect hours and costs using quantities, schedules, and craft curves.
• Loads inputs and Proscope exports into the workbook.
• Reviews hours, durations, and headcount for reasonableness with the construction team.
• Prices indirect subcontracts and site services using vendor quotes and allowances.
• Aligns quotes to cost accounts.
• Provides headcount assumptions to procurement and project teams.
• Reviews wage bulletins and incentive programs to determine costs included in indirects.
