Job summary

Bechtel Reston, VA is seeking a supervisor for the Indirects Estimating group to lead the preparation and presentation of professional services estimates in heavy civil, airport, rail, renewable and clean energy sectors. You will perform historical data analysis and maintain the database, excluding construction distributable estimating which is supervised separately.

The role requires leading a team, ensuring estimate quality, and coordinating with PMCM/billing rate structures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering, construction management, business management or related field, or 15+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Estimating or Project Controls.
• Experience with indirect estimate development.
• Skilled in oral and written communication to present cost information.
• Demonstrates inclusive leadership and teamwork.
• Ability to support estimates from inception to completion.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access and PowerBI.

Responsibilities

• Provides day to day guidance to direct reports and clarifies priorities.
• Performs quality checks and reviews of indirect estimator deliverables.
• Leads professional services cost estimates for PMCM/billing rate estimates.
• Oversees yearly updates of services related cost variables.
• Analyzes input to staffing plan and estimate basis documentation.
• Supports special estimating and budgeting tasks and data collection.
• Manages process for collecting historical data and reporting.
• Prepares metrics reports for Management reviews.
• Analyzes proposal metrics and informs the proposal team.
