Deloitte is seeking a strategic and creative Tax technology professional to join our Indirect Tax practice in the United States. The role blends tax consulting with innovative technology to optimize the tax function and business objectives.

You will contribute to a large national SALT team, work on automation initiatives, and lead development efforts across diverse tax tech projects. This hybrid role offers collaboration with senior leaders and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Hybrid work model requiring 2-3 days co-location in the US lead

Responsibilities

• Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiencies and streamline workflows through application of emerging technologies and implementing those ideas.
• Develop and maintain features for an existing application and feel comfortable with Green Field type of projects
• Collaborate with the architects and the leadership to implement the most performant solutions according to the business problem
• Review and test code to utilize best practices and patterns to ensure code quality with a performance improvement mindset
• Write SQL queries with understanding of the impact in all the different environments
• Communicate with leadership to collaborate through a project lifecycle, understanding potential changes and the impact on the existing applications
• Draft technical procedures and documentation for the applications including operations, user guides, etc
• Help with ad hoc troubleshooting efforts through business process and production incidents
• Technical expertise and aptitude to raise awareness of new and emerging technologies
