Job summary

Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA invites applications for a Manager of Indirect Tax in Kennesaw, GA, to lead indirect tax compliance across states and localities, oversee audits, and partner with senior leadership on tax strategy.

This role manages a tax team, drives process improvements, and ensures accurate filings of sales/use, property, and other indirect taxes, while supporting planning and transactional structuring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA license preferred.
• 8+ years of compliance experience in multistate sales/use tax, property tax, and excise tax.
• 3+ years managing tax staff.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) with at least intermediate Excel; SAP preferred; Vertex and tax research software.

Responsibilities

• Manage, review, and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual multi-state and local sales & use tax returns, journals, and reconciliations.
• Manage, review, and prepare other federal, state, and local indirect tax filings and payments (excise tax, business licenses, annual reports).
• Oversee annual property tax renditions and payments; prepare budgets and accruals.
• Manage tax audits and respond to notices.
• Provide guidance on indirect tax issues and monitor tax rules and rates.
