Job summary

Fireworks AI in California’s Bay Area is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Indirect Tax to lead the company’s indirect tax function, ensuring compliance, planning, and risk management across multiple jurisdictions.

You will partner with Finance, Legal, Operations, and IT to optimize tax processes, manage audits, and implement scalable tax technology and controls that support rapid growth in enterprise AI solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA/CA/JD or equivalent preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive indirect tax experience.
• Strong knowledge of sales/use tax, VAT/GST, and related taxes.
• Experience with ERP/tax technology platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead indirect tax compliance, returns, and payments.
• Advise on indirect tax implications of new products and expansion.
• Manage audits and interactions with tax authorities.
• Develop and improve tax processes, controls, and data analytics.
• Mentor tax team and collaborate across Finance, Legal, and Ops.
