SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Manager, Purchasing, to lead the indirect purchasing team across cloud, software, services, and facilities categories.

You will build cross-functional partnerships, develop high-quality procurement strategies, and advise executives on cost optimization and supplier performance. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, finance, or related field.
10+ years of experience in purchasing, supplier management, or contract negotiations; or a combination of these areas.
2+ years of experience in a supervisory, lead, or management role.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the indirect purchasing team while setting strategic direction for cloud, software, services, and facilities categories across SpaceX locations.
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and develop procurement strategies aligned to business requirements.
Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders to ensure cost-effective supply plans.
Own contract management to ensure supplier performance and on-time delivery.
Develop and execute sourcing strategies that reduce risk and drive cost reduction.
Conduct supplier and market analysis to build strategic sourcing plans.
Present value propositions to SpaceX executives covering contracts, cost reviews, and supply issues.
Develop and implement tools and processes leveraging AI to drive efficiencies.
Lead talent development and mentor team members on critical projects.
Execute purchase orders and manage escalation for P2P issues.
