Job summary

Veolia Water Tech seeks a Director of Indirect Procurement for the North America region to lead a team of Category Managers overseeing +$350M in spend across MRO, Facilities, CAPEX and more. The role partners with Global Category Managers and senior stakeholders to drive cost-out and supplier initiatives.

This position reports to the VP of Global Indirect Procurement and helps shape a holistic regional strategy, influencing senior leadership and aligning with the broader procurement strategy for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s or professional certs add advantage.
• 10+ years in procurement/strategic sourcing or supply chain.
• 5+ years indirect procurement for manufacturing ops (MRO, facilities, CAPEX).
• Managed annual spend above $150M USD.
• 5+ years of leading procurement teams.

Responsibilities

• Directs and manages the Category Management Team for Capex, Facilities, Services, Maintenance and Operations.
• Leads Indirect Procurement in North America; key regional contact for senior management.
• Hire, develop and monitor performance of direct reports.
• Develop strategic sourcing mindset for top spend areas; drive supplier rationalization and improve service levels.
• Support spend smarter actions via demand management and budgetary integration.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for VWTS NAM with stakeholders.
• Analyze markets to build expertise across core categories (CAPEX, MRO, Facilities, Energy).
• Provide direction to other categories (IT, Corporate Services) per regional priorities.
• Use financial acumen to identify opportunities for best value and vendor selection.
• Lead contract negotiations for favorable terms and pricing.
• Implement supplier relationship management and quarterly business reviews.
• Act as project lead for regional sourcing strategies with cross-functional teams.
• Build relationships with Finance, Operations, R&D, HR, Legal, Real Estate to align needs.
