The role involves collaboration with underwriting teams and management to streamline processes, ensure accuracy, and maintain strong dealer relationships while identifying potential fraud indicators.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in Consumer Underwriting or related field.
• Strong understanding of underwriting guidelines, credit risk, and lending regulations.
• Good organizational skills to manage a high volume of loan applications.

Responsibilities

• Analyze loan applications by reviewing credit reports and financial documents to determine repayability.
• Collaborate with underwriting, sales, and management to ensure a smooth loan process.
• Provide loan approval or denial recommendations to the committee or manager.
• Maintain and manage dealer relationships for accurate loan processing.
• Detect potential fraud or misrepresentation in applications.
• Communicate underwriting requirements clearly with dealers and vendors.
• Make timely loan decisions and respond to inquiries within service levels.
