Job summary

DRiV is seeking an experienced Indirect Commodity Buyer in Skokie, IL to lead strategic sourcing across multiple indirect categories. You will manage supplier performance, drive cost reduction, and align with North American operations while collaborating with global teams.

The role requires 5+ years in automotive procurement (indirect preferred), strong negotiation skills, and ERP proficiency. This on-site position offers cross-functional exposure and opportunities for process improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years automotive procurement experience (indirect preferred).
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and sourcing tools (SAP/Oracle).
• Knowledge of CapEx procurement highly preferred.
• Data manipulation in pivot tables, VLOOKUP, or BOT programming.
• Experience resolving supplier invoice disputes; ERP navigation (SAP, etc.).
• Excellent interpersonal, detail-oriented English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for indirect commodities (e.g., MRO, facilities services, tooling, logistics).
• Conduct RFQs, RFPs, and reverse auctions within global sourcing framework.
• Lead competitive bidding, negotiate pricing and long-term agreements.
• Identify dual-source strategies to mitigate risk and ensure continuity.
• Partner with plant operations and engineering to optimize CapEx procurement.
