Talent Acquisition Manager @ Clean Earth | Bachelor of Science

The Indirect Category Manager is responsible for leading assigned categories and vendors in an efficient, effective, and reliable manner. Responsibilities include developing category and vendor sourcing strategies, drafting solicitations, leading negotiations, monitoring vendor performance, and optimizing company supplier spending. The category manager also helps Clean Earth and Procurement achieve financial and operational targets.

Qualifications

• Develop and execute category strategies for assigned indirect categories, ensuring alignment with company procurement and business goals.
• Assist in procurement planning to align with financial objectives and project timelines.
• Manage portfolio of contracts and strategic vendor relationships within the category.
• Lead RFPs, RFQs, and negotiations for contracts in HR, IT, EHS, CAPEX, Engineering, and other support functions, demonstrating cost savings and avoidance.
• Collaborate with legal, insurance, and other teams to finalize contract terms, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance.
• Ensure contract terms meet insurance requirements, mitigate liabilities, and support risk management policies.
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and identify value creation opportunities.
• Optimize vendor performance via KPIs, QBRs, and compliance with SLAs and contracts.
• Drive cost optimization through TCO analysis and process improvements with suppliers.
• Partner with HR, IT, EHS, Engineering, and other teams to support strategic and operational initiatives.
• Maintain positive vendor relationships to foster collaboration and efficiency.
• Mentor and guide junior procurement team members for professional growth.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the procurement team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA or equivalent
• Experience in procurement within a large, multi-site organization
• Hazardous waste industry experience
