Job summary

Medisca Inc. is seeking an Indirect Junior Buyer to support sourcing, purchasing, and management of indirect goods for day-to-day operations in Irving, TX. You will handle office supplies, packaging, marketing materials, and other non-production purchases, ensuring timely procurement and cost savings.

The role collaborates with the Indirect Procurement Manager to maintain supplier relationships, process purchase orders, monitor inventory, and ensure policy compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Operations Management, or related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or related administrative role.
• Understanding of procurement principles, supplier management, and purchasing processes.
• Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain best practices is an asset.
• Experience working with AI and technology to enhance efficiencies is an asset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Collaborator with strong verbal and written communication.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Proficient in SRP/ERP/MRP systems (Syspro an asset).
• Ability to track, drive results, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage purchase orders for indirect spend categories based on requirements.
• Communicate and collaborate with suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
• Inform stakeholders of delivery delays or issues affecting schedules.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and contractual obligations.
• Resolve material shortages, discrepancies, or invoice issues with accounts payable.
• Conduct periodic reviews of open purchase orders and take action.
• Communicate any Quality Control concerns to relevant suppliers.
• Collaborate with internal departments to meet purchasing requirements.
• Maintain procurement records, contracts, and supplier documentation.
• Identify areas for improvement with vendors and internally within the department.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
