Job summary

Exalt Printing Solutions LLC is seeking a skilled Press Operator to run and maintain our HP Indigo digital presses at the headquarters facility. The role requires setting up, calibrating, and troubleshooting presses to meet customer specs and deadlines, with safety and quality as top priorities.

The ideal candidate holds an HP Indigo Level 1 certification and has 1–2 years of hands-on experience in a fast-paced print production environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED (or equivalent) is required.
Current HP Indigo Level 1 certification required.
1–2 years of hands-on experience operating HP Indigo digital presses in a commercial environment.
Working knowledge of digital print workflows, RIP software, and color management/calibration.
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Set up, calibrate, and operate HP Indigo presses (7800, 12K, 18K) for production runs per job tickets.
Load substrates, mount plates/blankets, and adjust press settings to achieve color accuracy and registration.
Monitor runs and make real-time adjustments to maintain print quality and consistency.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning; handle imaging plate/blanket changes and consumable replacement.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software issues; escalate as needed to minimize downtime.
Inspect finished materials against proofs and specs for color accuracy and registration.
Prepare and verify digital print files, ensuring correct imposition and color profiles.
Track inventory of inks, plates, blankets, and other consumables; maintain production records.
