Job summary

Hatteras is seeking a Digital Press Operator to run our HP Indigo B2 fleet and ensure top-quality output across coated, uncoated, and synthetic stocks. The role covers press set-up, file handling, calibration, ink configurations, substrate preparation, and on-press quality control.

The candidate should have HP Indigo experience, familiarity with PrintOS Production Pro/SmartStream, and a mechanical background to support continuous production and maintenance.

Qualifications

• HP Indigo press experience (12000/15K/100K or 7600) required.
• Familiar with a digital front end and RIP workflow and able to read job tickets against proofs.
• Knowledge of color management, ICC profiles and spectrophotometer readings.
• Mechanical background and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate HP Indigo presses for print jobs.
• Load, queue and release jobs via PrintOS Production Pro / SmartStream.
• Perform color calibrations and verify output against proofs and house color standards.
• Manage ink stations, Indigo spot colors and substrate configurations.
• Set up feeders and stackers for coated, uncoated, synthetic stocks.
• Inspect images for artefacts and monitor defect detection and production quality.
