Job summary

Mixteco/Indígena Community Organizing Project (MICOP) in Oxnard, CA, is seeking a Coordinator for its OFY-RR Funds Project within the Behavioral Wellness department. The role leads the OFY team, ensuring trauma-informed, youth-centered support for Indigenous and non-Indigenous Unaccompanied Minors in Ventura County.

You will supervise staff, coordinate with immigrant legal services, and ensure data, progress notes, and reports are completed with confidentiality and cultural responsiveness.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience supervising paid staff and providing staff support or coaching.
  • High proficiency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
  • Experience in case management, youth services, community organizing, or working with immigrant and/or Indigenous communities is highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, and supervise MICOP's OFY-RR Funds Project staff in Ventura County.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to OFY staff in delivering direct services using strength-based, youth-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive approaches.
  • Monitor case management activities, documentation, referrals, and follow-up to ensure participant needs and program requirements are being met.
  • Identify and partner with local community resource providers and maintain strong community partnership relationships.
  • Coordinate and assist in designing and implementing workshops, series, and reunions for youth and their sponsors.
  • Coordinate communication and collaboration among OFY staff, MICOP programs, community partners, and service providers.
