Job summary

Miller Pipeline in Indiana is hiring hardworking Laborers to work on our underground utility crews across the state. You will perform installation of water and gas mains, excavation, pipe laying, and site restoration to support critical infrastructure projects.

We value a strong work ethic, teamwork, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required, plus the possibility of a DOT physical or obtaining one upon employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years’ experience in lieu of education will be considered.
• Strong work ethic, ability to work in a team environment and arrive on time.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• DOT physical or ability to obtain one upon employment (reimbursed upon hire).
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must pass computer-based testing, specific to the local Customer’s operator qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Installing water and gas mains.
• Installing water services, valves, and hydrants.
• Excavation and trench work.
• Pipe laying and general labor.
• Site cleanup and restoration.
• Lifting and operating small tools, objects,and construction equipment of varying weight.
• Compress soil and asphalt.
• Shovel material, soil and cold patch asphalt mix.
• Operate vehicles used for hauling.
• Score and break asphalt or concrete with a jackhammer.
• Repair backfilled trench areas with grass seed or asphalt.
• Travel within the state of Indiana for work assignments.
