Job summary

Miller Pipeline is hiring Laborers to join our underground utility crews across Indiana. This role focuses on installing water and gas mains, setting up water services, valves, hydrants, and performing excavation and trench work.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, strong work ethic, and are willing to work outdoors in varying weather. DOT physical or ability to obtain one is required, with travel within Indiana for assignments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years’ experience in lieu of education will be considered.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• DOT physical or ability to obtain one upon employment (reimbursed upon hire).
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must pass computer-based testing, specific to the local Customer’s operator qualifications.
• 1+ year of construction or underground utility experience (preferred).
• Class A CDL (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Installing water and gas mains.
• Installing water services, valves, and hydrants.
• Excavation and trench work.
• Pipe laying and general labor.
• Site cleanup and restoration.
• Lifting and operating small tools, objects, and construction equipment of varying weight.
• Travel within the state of Indiana for work assignments.
