Job summary

Miller Pipeline Corp in Indiana is hiring Laborers for our underground utility crews. You will work on installing water and gas mains, services, hydrants, and perform excavation, pipe laying, and site cleanup.

We value reliability, teamwork, and safety. Travel within Indiana is required; valid driver's license and ability to pass testing are needed; CDL preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years’ experience acceptable in lieu.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• DOT physical or ability to obtain one (reimbursed on hire).
• Ability to work overtime.
• Willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Pass computer-based testing for local operator qualifications.

Miller Pipeline is hiring hardworking Laborers to work on our underground utility crews throughout the state of Indiana.

Main Responsibilities:

• Installing water and gas mains.
• Installing water services, valves, and hydrants.
• Excavation and trench work.
• Pipe laying and general labor.
• Site cleanup and restoration.
• Lifting and operating small tools, objects,and construction equipment of varying weight.
• Compress soil and asphalt.
• Shovel material, soil and cold patch asphalt mix.
• Operate vehicles used for hauling.
• Score and break asphalt or concrete with a jackhammer.
• Repair backfilled trench areas with grass seed or asphalt.
• Travel within the state of Indiana for work assignments.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years’ experience in lieu of education will be considered.
• Strong work ethic, ability to work in a team environment and arrive on time.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• DOT physical or ability to obtain one upon employment (reimbursed upon hire).
• Ability to workovertime as needed.
• Willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must pass computer-based testing, specific to the local Customer’s operator qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ yearof construction or underground utility experience.
• Class A CDL.
