Job summary

Miller Pipeline is hiring hardworking Laborers to work on underground utility crews across Indiana. The role involves installing water and gas mains, trench work, pipe laying, and site restoration.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, be able to work outdoors in varied weather, and be willing to travel within Indiana. Competitive wages and industry-leading benefits are offered along with on-the-job safety training.

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years’ experience may substitute for education.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team and arrive on time.
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record; DOT physical or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Installing water and gas mains.
  • Installing water services, valves, and hydrants.
  • Excavation and trench work.
  • Pipe laying and general labor.
  • Site cleanup and restoration.
  • Lifting and operating small tools and equipment.
  • Compress soil and asphalt.
  • Shovel material and cold patch asphalt mix.
  • Operate vehicles used for hauling.
  • Score and break asphalt or concrete with a jackhammer.
  • Repair backfilled trench areas with grass seed or asphalt.
  • Travel within Indiana for work assignments.

Miller Pipeline is hiring hardworking Laborers to work on our underground utility crews throughout the state of Indiana.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Installing water and gas mains.
  • Installing water services, valves, and hydrants.
  • Excavation and trench work.
  • Pipe laying and general labor.
  • Site cleanup and restoration.
  • Lifting and operating small tools, objects, and construction equipment of varying weight.
  • Compress soil and asphalt.
  • Shovel material, soil and cold patch asphalt mix.
  • Operate vehicles used for hauling.
  • Score and break asphalt or concrete with a jackhammer.
  • Repair backfilled trench areas with grass seed or asphalt.
  • Travel within the state of Indiana for work assignments.
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years’ experience in lieu of education will be considered.
  • Strong work ethic, ability to work in a team environment and arrive on time.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • DOT physical or ability to obtain one upon employment (reimbursed upon hire).
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Must pass computer-based testing, specific to the local Customer’s operator qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1+ year of construction or underground utility experience.
  • Class A CDL.
